Some may not be aware of the Mk6 No 62 Set, this was a special version of the radio that was adapted to run from dry batteries, rather than the internal power supply.

It was used in scenarios where noise would be an issue and some other specific roles.

The key difference to look for is the addition of the switch in the picture shown below. We have had examples of the Mk6 in the past, where restorers not knowing what it was, thought it had been modified by a ham and reverted it back to a normal 62 set.
